The Rhode Island Library Association is a professional association of Librarians, Library Staff, Trustees, and
library supporters whose purpose is to promote the profession of librarianship and to improve the visibility, accessibility, responsiveness and effectiveness of library and information services
throughout Rhode Island.
RILA AT WORK RILA works for common goals through:
- THE RILA ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The RILA Annual Conference educates and
motivates members by presenting speakers, discussions, and workshops on diverse topics.
- THE RILA BULLETIN
The Bulletin keeps the membership informed of library news, issues, and developments in
Rhode Island and in surrounding New England library communities.
- RILA COMMITTEES
RILA offers members the opportunity to become involved with committee
work that reflects their interests and concerns, as well as strengthening and expanding networks of library colleagues throughout the state.
